About Us
Welcome to Shiro Ookami Kennel, We are a Japanese Akita Inu and Shiba Inu Breeder based in the Philippines, we fell in love with the breed back in 2012 and imported our first Japanese Akita and it has just been an incredible journey since then.
We now have a wonderful and loving group of dogs in our Kennel who are all High Quality and Great representatives of their respective breeds.
Our Kennel is accredited with the P.C.C.I. (Philippine Canine Club Inc.) which is affiliated with FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale), we are also an AKIHO member which is the Japanese Akita Club in Japan, and we follow all of the required and standard guidelines for our dogs.
Japanese Akita
The Akita (秋田犬 Akita-inu?) is a large breed of dog originating from the mountainous northern regions of Japan, commonly called "Akita Ken" in Japan, "Akita Inu" ("inu" means "dog" in Japanese), "Japanese Akita";
Shiba Inu
The Shiba Inu (柴犬?) A small, agile dog that copes very well with mountainous terrain, the Shiba Inu was originally bred for hunting. It looks similar to and is often mistaken for other Japanese dog breeds like the Akita Inu, but the Shiba Inu is a different breed with a distinct blood line, temperament and smaller in size
